Fine-tune

Your device voice comes from the browser's speech system, and browsers don't let a page add effects to it. Pitch and speed still work.

About the voices

Every voice here comes from SharpVox, an open source formant synthesizer in the DECtalk tradition (MIT license), compiled to run in your browser. The effects are written for this site.

The original Dr. Sbaitso, SoftVoice, SAM and DECtalk engines are not here: their code is proprietary or has no open license, so they can't be shipped on a website. The preset called Sound Card '91 is a tribute, not the real thing. The credits page links every one of them.
